The Fairplex center hosts tons of other events all year round, check their schedule for everything from expositions to concerts.
You'll have to forgive us if the LA County Fair is our favorite though; what's more fun than popping an edible and then chowing down on some finger-licking fair food, riding ferris wheels, and petting some adorable farm animals?

Pomona Raceway
You've got to check out the historic drag strip at the Pomona Raceway (AKA the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip).
The Winternationals are the headlining event, held here for decades on end, but you can check their schedule for other races and events that are hosted year round.
There's plenty of food and drink to be had, and when you're not watching (and feeling!) hot rods jet down the quarter mile track at breakneck speeds, there are tons of vendor stands to check out and you might even grab yourself an autograph from a racer or two!
Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch
Would you prefer to stroll around a gorgeous, adorably designed and maintained farmers market?
They've got wine, and you can design custom gift baskets, not to mention, there's a petting zoo here too! Super soft bunnies, adorable little calves, fluffy sheep, and adorable goats and their kids await.
You can knock out your grocery shopping and have fun doing it, all while knowing you're getting high quality, locally grown produce. It's no coincidence that the Farm Store is located on Cal Poly Pomona's campus, the produce is grown at the university.
There's even a nursery section if your green thumb is itching, a place where you can pick up grafted and sprouted plants to plant back at home. Plus, the farm employs actual students, many of which have grown the produce you're looking to purchase--talk about knowing where your food comes from.
Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum
If you love fast cars, but you're not exactly an up-close-in-personal, listen-to-that-engine-roar type, there's no judgement here! As much fun as it is to get down to the track, it's just as interesting (and even more chill) to skip down to the museum.
Check out exhibitions that feature Indy Cars, custom cars, and hot-rods of all shapes and sizes, not to mention historic vehicles like the first drag car to break 300mph. You'll learn about the iconic figures who built and drove these beasts, historic speed records, and when and where these vehicles could've been spotted in action.
Even if cars aren't usually your thing, anyone can appreciate the cascade of the museum lighting on fully-restored vehicles and the engaging, up close displays.
Check their schedule for events like their Twilight Hot Rod Cruise, so you can have the rare experience of seeing these beautiful collectors cars in motion. There are even toy drive events for needy children, for those who'd like to attend an event that'll put their dollars to use in helping the community.
