Get A Breath of Fresh Air Without Leaving the City

ASHE Society is located near San Bernardino National Forest, visit us on the way out and pick up quality cannabis products for the lowest prices in San Bernardino

San Bernardino National Forest

Never bring cannabis products onto National Parks and Forest Lands; because they are federal lands and are governed by federal law, having cannabis on these properties is a felony.

If you’re into gorgeous mountain settings and cool little pockets of independent mountain towns where you can visit the small businesses and restaurants owned by San Bernardino residents, the national forest should be the next destination on your list.

Just remember to check weather conditions on San Bernardino’s online services, especially during the rainy and snowy winter months. And always, always drive soberly and safely on the winding mountain roads.

Want to enjoy a faded nature walk but don’t want to break the rules? Edibles may be the perfect choice, just make sure to consume them right before you enter onto national grounds, and always dispose of packaging responsibly.

Empty packaging should be disposed of before arriving on the property, or kept in a locked container like your trunk where you have the reasonable right to decline a search (know your rights!). Never bring product onto national grounds—but state beaches and state parks are fair game!

The Arrowhead

Check out this historic print of The Arrowhead, one of the most famous landmarks in the Inland Empire, and the Arrowhead Hot Springs Hotel beneath it.

Want to visit a place with hot springs and history? ‘The Arrowhead’ is so named because it looks like a massive arrowhead planted right in the middle of the mountain. It’s 1,375 feet in length and 449 feet in width, according to the city of San Bernardino, and while you may be tempted to believe it was man-made, this landmark is all compliments of mother nature.

It’s been around for so long that it’s said the original inhabitants of this particular area of San Bernardino, Native Americans called The Serranos, believed that the formation was natures way of pointing to the hot springs below.

Read The Legend of the Arrowhead on San Bernardino City’s website.

If you choose to visit this historic landmark and hotel, remember that while it is permissible to carry cannabis with you on state grounds, you are prohibited from smoking anywhere that tobacco smoke is also prohibited (this includes vaping as well!). Keep an eye out for ‘No Smoking’ signs, or bring edible or drinkable products to enjoy instead!

Historic Must-See Attractions

First McDonald’s

Would you like your history to come with a medium fry and a soda? Your munchies sure would!

Can you believe a burger used to cost 15c when this joint first opened? These days a Big Mac meal costs around $15.00—a 10,000% increase since 1940—oh, how times have changed.

But hey, let’s leave the saltiness to the french fries, right? This landmark has been turned into a museum so you can step into a time capsule fill up on some tasty history, just down the street from ASHE.

Want our advice? Try this route! You can pick up your favorite cannabis products at ASHE, jet through the nearest McDonald’s drive through for lunch, and arrive at the First McDonald’s Museum in just 13 minutes (without traffic at least). How Californian is that?

We don’t know about you, but we’d be inclined to bring our vapes or a nice infused preroll to toke in a smoking area. (We’re not so sure if we’d be brave enough to make it past the Hamburger Police Officer out front after an edible or two.)

San Bernardino’s Museums

Want to step back into the past and chill for a while? SB has even more museums you can’t miss.

Are you a general history buff? Check out the San Bernardino County Museum and get your steps in for the day.

If you’re more interested in California history, especially around the railroad era, you can stop on by the History and Railroad Museum for a glimpse into the not-so-distant-past of our state.

And if painstakingly preserved curios like weapons of yesteryear are more your style, you can feast your eyes on all the Military Museum has to offer.

Want even more historical immersion? Check out the SB Fire Museum, or the Museum of Anthropology—or go to surrounding cities like Rialto or Victorville for attractions like the Route 66 Museum!

There’s nothing better than getting faded and then going for a nice, relaxing stroll surrounded my crazy cool stuff—not to mention, you might actually learn something. That’s what we like to call ‘higher education’.

Indoor and Outdoor Thrills

Glen Helen Raceway

Watch BMX, ATV, and offroad racers tear around the Glen Helen race course, or rent the whole track out for a day of fun with your dirtdevil buddies, if you’re so inclined.

Glen Helen features a 250 acre property that’s been a California namesake for dirt track races since the 1980s.

You can check out their calendar of events and view results and a record of past champions right on their website.

And if you already know your way around offroading vehicles, you might know that you can pay just $30 to ride or spectate on practice days if you BYOB—bike, not beer, that is. New to MX but interested in getting started? The nearby Motocross Holidays can hook you up with a day rental.

With races every weekend and a calendar of major MX events (which you can even camp out on the property for the night before, campfire and all!), there’s always something fun going on at Glen Helen.

Make sure to check with owners regarding smoking policies before whipping out the bud and lighting up, and never use cannabis prior to operating any vehicle—getting stoned is best left to the spectators!

California Theatre of the Performing Arts

Get your couchlock on and be regaled by performers of the theatre arts, right here in San Bernardino!

If chill vibes and stage drama are more your style, you’ve got to get down to the California Theatre of Performing Arts for a show.

This historic venue was built in 1928 as a viewing house for vaudville movies and shows and their celebrated performers. Though its roots are in the campy and comedic art of burlesque theatre, this house of entertainment has evolved with the times and now hosts all manner of performances on its storied stage—from stand up comedy, to ballet, symphonies, musicals, plays, and of course theatre!

It’s gotta be one of the coolest buildings we’ve ever seen, and the preserved interior doesn’t disappoint either. Pop a few gummies and to really enjoy some laughs at a comedy show, or to enhance your listening experience at a musical or symphonic performance!

Always Practice Safe Stone-ing, Friends

This is a friendly reminder from ASHE to consume all cannabis products safely and responsibly in accordance with all state and local laws, as well as the regulations set by private businesses. Here are some important points to help keep you on the right side of California's cannabis regulations at all times!

For exact language, you can read San Bernardino County's regulations regarding cannabis smoking, as well as the State of California's Health & Safety Code section 11362.3 regarding cannabis use. Click here to view the full text of the regulation!

It's always a good bet to take a look at the city regulations for whatever city you plan to use cannabis in as well! And remember, anything that is prohibited at a state level, cannot be legally permitted by a county, city, or private entity.

Because cannabis has not yet been federally legalized, possessing or using cannabis or cannabis products on federal land constitutes a federal felony--never bring these products to national parks or reserves, or similar federal lands.

You should never operate machinery, such as a vehicle, while under the influence of a product like cannabis; it is illegal to drive under the influence.

As of this writing, in the county of San Bernardino, it is currently prohibited to smoke cannabis in public places. San Bernardino County defines 'public places' (for the purposes of this regulation) as "any place, publicly or privately owned, when being used for a public event, including but not limited to a farmers' market, parade, craft fair, festival, or any other event open to the general public."

It's also prohibited to smoke cannabis anywhere where tobacco smoke is already prohibited, or within 50ft of an area where smoking is prohibited. It is illegal to smoke within 1000ft of  a school, day care center, or youth care center when children are present, “unless at a private residence where the smoking is not detectable on the grounds of the school, day care center, or youth center while children are present.”

While there are no current county-specific regulations against consuming cannabis in other forms, such as edibles, drinks, tinctures, capsules, etc… in 'public places', it's always best to use your judgement and be respectful of property owners, managers, and caretakers.

Most properties that are accessible to the general public are still privately owned, and owners of private properties are legally permitted to determine if cannabis usage (that is not already prohibited by law) is allowed to occur on their property. If someone asks you to put away your cannabis goodies, it's always best to politely comply and look for somewhere else to partake.
